What HearBuyers reads, and what it doesn't
updated 17 October 2026
HearBuyers reads public posts on X and Reddit. On Reddit that means the subreddits you choose, plus Reddit search. LinkedIn comes next. We never read private messages or closed groups. The tables below are built from the same list the product uses, so when the product changes, they change too.

Sources
| source | what we read | status |
|---|---|---|
| X | Posts, replies and quote posts | Live |
| Posts and comments in the subreddits you choose | Live | |
| Public posts and comments | Next |
Where matches go
| destination | what happens | status |
|---|---|---|
| HearBuyers inbox | Every match, its draft and who approved it, in one list | Live |
| Slack | A message in the channel you pick, with the draft attached | Live |
| Email digest | A morning summary of the matches worth answering | Live |
| HubSpot | The match logged against the contact and company | Planned |
| Salesforce | The match logged as activity on the account | Planned |
What we don't cover
- Private or closed spaces. Private subreddits, direct messages, Slack and Discord communities.
- Every post on Reddit. No monitoring tool reads all of Reddit. We read the communities and searches set up for your workspace.
- Real-time delivery. Scans run on a schedule. Matches arrive when each scan finishes.
Reddit's data access is changing
Reddit is changing how third parties can read its public data between 31 October 2026 and March 2027. If that limits what we can read, we'll update this page and tell you in the app. That's one reason we read X as well.
Reddit monitoring and X keyword alerts explain how these sources become matches.
People who don't want to be included
Anyone can ask to be excluded. Within 7 days we delete their stored posts, matches and drafts, and we stop judging their posts. The privacy policy has the details.
