Twitter keyword alerts that catch buyers, not noise
updated 17 October 2026
X doesn't send alerts when someone posts a keyword. Its notifications cover accounts you follow and replies to you, not words. You have three ways to get keyword alerts: a saved search you check by hand, a monitoring tool that emails or messages you every match, or a tool that reads the matches for you and only alerts you when someone sounds ready to buy. The builder below gives you the first one for free.

en, de, fr, es… Leave empty for any.
Your search
("any recommendations" OR "looking for a tool" OR "alternative to") lang:en -filter:retweetsX asks you to log in before it shows search results. Save the search in X to run it again later.
Build a saved search for your keywords
Fill in the fields, open the search on X, and save it from the search bar so it's one tap away. Saved searches don't notify you, so check them on a fixed schedule, say once in the morning and once after lunch.
Why raw keyword alerts drown you
Search "CRM" on X and most of what comes back is vendors promoting themselves, people sharing articles, job posts and jokes. A keyword alert sends you every one of them. In our own scans of X, vendors accounted for most keyword matches, and buyers asking for help were a small share.
Before an alert reaches you, it has to answer three questions:
- Is this a person, not a company account or a bot?
- Are they describing a problem you solve, in their own words?
- How close are they to doing something about it? "Looking at options before our renewal in March" is a buyer. "Interesting thread on CRMs" isn't.
Our X search operators guide lists every operator these searches use, and the X search builder writes them for you.
How HearBuyers handles X keyword alerts
You paste your website and HearBuyers writes the searches from it, using the phrases buyers use, the competitors they leave and the problems they describe. It reads X posts and replies on a schedule and gives each one a buying-intent score from 0 to 100. Every score comes with the sentence that shows the need and a one-line reason.
- Posts at or above your threshold (70 by default) go to Slack, a daily email and your team inbox.
- Each one arrives with a drafted public reply and a DM draft.
- Someone on your team edits it, approves it and posts it themselves. Nothing goes out on its own.

Frequently asked questions
Does X have keyword alerts?
No. X notifies you about accounts and replies, not words. You can save a search and check it yourself, or use a tool that watches the search for you.
Can I get Twitter keyword alerts by email?
Yes, with a monitoring tool. HearBuyers sends a daily email digest of the strongest matches and posts each one to Slack as soon as it's found.
How many keywords can I track?
HearBuyers builds the searches from your website, so there's no keyword count to manage. You can add or remove phrases and competitors whenever you like.
Will HearBuyers reply on X for me?
No. It drafts the reply and a DM, and someone on your team approves it and posts it from their own account.
