Alternatives to Reddit and X listening tools
People come to these pages for one of three reasons: a tool they used shut down, it got too expensive, or it finds mentions when they need buyers. Each page below covers one product. It says what the product does and who it suits better than HearBuyers, compares sources, scoring, replies and price side by side, and explains how to move your keywords and communities over. Every fact about another product comes from that product's own pages, with the date we checked.

How to choose
Start with the job. Brand monitoring, audience research and lead finding look alike in a feature list, but each one needs a different tool.
- You want to know when your name comes up. A mention tracker with wide source coverage fits, and most of the tools here do this well.
- You want to research an audience. Pick a tool that groups conversations into themes and lets you browse communities.
- You want people who are ready to buy. Matching keywords won't get you there. You need a score for how close each person is to buying, the sentence that shows it, and help writing a reply a moderator won't remove.
Whatever you pick, check four things:
- Which sources it reads, and how fresh the data is. Reddit is tightening its rules for third-party data. Ask which communities a tool covers instead of trusting "all of Reddit".
- How it filters noise. A keyword alert with no filtering sends you job posts, students and other vendors.
- Who posts the reply. Tools that post from accounts they supply put your brand at risk of bans. HearBuyers drafts the reply, and a person on your team posts it.
- How it charges. Whether you pay per keyword, per mention, per seat or per match decides what a busy month costs you.
Where HearBuyers fits
HearBuyers is built for B2B teams looking for buyers, not mentions. You paste your website and it works out who buys from you and how they describe the problem. It then reads X and Reddit, scores each post from 0 to 100 for buying intent and drafts a reply. Nothing gets posted until someone on your team approves it. HearBuyers doesn't do brand monitoring and doesn't read news, reviews or podcasts, so if that's what you need, one of the tools above will serve you better.
