Brand24 alternative: when you need buyers, not mention volume

facts about Brand24 checked on 17 October 2026 from its own pages

Brand24 is a social listening tool. It tracks mentions of your brand, competitors and keywords across social media, news, blogs, forums, podcasts and review sites, then reports on volume, reach and sentiment. If you want a Brand24 alternative because you're looking for people who are ready to buy, not measuring how a brand is discussed, HearBuyers does that narrower job on X and Reddit. It scores each post from 0 to 100 for buying intent and drafts a reply that a person approves.

This page covers what Brand24 does as of 17 October 2026, who it suits better, and how to move over. Facts about Brand24 come from its home and pricing pages.

What Brand24 does

Brand24 calls itself an AI social listening tool. You add keywords to a project and it collects the mentions it finds. Its home page lists X, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Spotify, news, LinkedIn, blogs, forums, reviews, Reddit, Telegram, TripAdvisor, the App Store and TikTok. The comparison on the pricing page adds Medium, Quora, Twitch, newsletters and podcasts. We couldn't tell which source belongs to which plan, so check that before you buy.

You can narrow results with Boolean search (AND, OR, NOT) and filter by sentiment, reach, language and source. Analytics cover mention volume, reach, engagement, sentiment, topic analysis, influencer analysis, a presence score, ad value equivalent, location and demographics. For alerts and reporting there are daily and weekly reports, Storm Alerts, mobile push, custom email notifications, Slack and Microsoft Teams, and PDF, Excel and PowerPoint exports, with white-label reports on higher plans. There is a web dashboard, a mobile app and an MCP connection.

Who Brand24 suits better

Pick Brand24 when your question is "what is being said about us, and how is it trending?" PR and communications teams, brand managers and agencies reporting to clients get what they need from its sentiment, reach and share-of-voice style reports. It also suits audiences spread across many networks, including video, podcasts, news and review sites, which HearBuyers does not read.

Its home and pricing pages list no buying-intent score and no reply drafting. That's reasonable for a brand-monitoring product. It does mean that to find buyers with Brand24, you build your own keywords and read the results yourself.

What to look for in a replacement

  • Your actual goal. Reputation tracking and lead finding need different filters. Decide which one you're paying for before you compare prices.
  • Pricing by mentions or by matches. Mention quotas grow with your keyword list, and one broad keyword can use up a plan. Per-match billing grows only with results.
  • A judgment on each post. A sentiment label tells you the mood. A buying-intent score tells you whether to reply.
  • The evidence. If you can see the sentence that shows the need, you don't have to open every thread.
  • A person in the loop. If a tool drafts replies, check that nothing gets posted until someone approves it.

Where HearBuyers fits, and where it doesn't

HearBuyers fits if you track mentions to find sales leads and want that part cheaper and more direct. You paste your company website. HearBuyers infers your product summary, buyer roles, the problems those buyers describe, search phrases, competitors and subreddits, and you correct whatever it got wrong. It reads public X posts and replies and Reddit posts and comments, starting with the last seven days.

Each post gets a score from 0 to 100, with the sentence that shows the need highlighted and a one-line reason. Matches at or above your threshold (70 by default) get a drafted public reply, plus a DM draft on X. A person edits, approves, copies and posts it. Alerts go to Slack, a daily email digest and a team inbox with stages.

It doesn't fit if you need sentiment reports, reach and influencer analysis, PR crisis alerts, or coverage of news, video, podcasts and review sites. HearBuyers is free for 14 days with no card, then from $19 a month.

The honest case for staying

If Brand24 serves your PR or brand team, keep it. Most of what it reports has no equivalent in HearBuyers. If you also use it to find leads, HearBuyers would replace only that part, and the two can run side by side.

Moving your keywords over

  1. Pick the Brand24 keywords you use to find buyers, not the ones you use for brand health.
  2. Sign up for HearBuyers and paste your company website.
  3. Compare its suggested search phrases with your list and add anything missing.
  4. Add your competitors and the subreddits where your buyers ask questions.
  5. Set your threshold and send alerts to the Slack channel you already use.
