ForumScout alternative: scored leads with a person approving
facts about ForumScout checked on 17 October 2026 from its own pages
ForumScout scans Reddit, X, LinkedIn and other sources for people asking for what you offer, then scores each lead and explains the score. If you're looking for a ForumScout alternative, the main difference is posting. ForumScout lists automatic AI replies. HearBuyers drafts a reply, and a person approves it, copies it and posts it. HearBuyers reads X and Reddit, scores each post from 0 to 100 for buying intent, and shows the sentence that earned the score.
This page covers what ForumScout does as of 17 October 2026, who it suits better, and how to move over. Facts come from ForumScout's home page, which also carries its pricing. Its separate /pricing URL returned "not found" when we checked.

What ForumScout does
ForumScout's home page lists Reddit, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, Bluesky, Hacker News, Facebook, forums and news. You paste your website, it reads your product, customers and competitors, and then it scans every few hours. AI scores each lead and explains the score. It reads both posts and comments.
Beyond leads, it lists brand mentions, competitive intelligence, share of voice, sentiment and emotion analysis, AI filtering, audience insights and emerging topics. For getting data out, it lists webhooks and a Google Sheets sync.
It also lists a feature that writes and posts AI replies to the mentions your scouts find. The stated monthly reply limits are 100 on Pro and 1,500 on Ultra, and the feature appears on Starter too.
Plans on 17 October 2026, billed monthly (yearly billing gives two months free):
- Starter, $19 a month: 10 keywords, scans every 6 hours, 3 months of history.
- Pro, $49 a month: 20 keywords, every 3 hours, 6 months of history, competitive intelligence and sentiment.

Who ForumScout suits better
Pick ForumScout if you want one tool for leads, brand monitoring and competitive tracking across many sources, with a low entry price and unlimited seats. It suits teams that want posting handled for them, and anyone who needs Facebook, Instagram, YouTube or Bluesky, since HearBuyers doesn't read those.
What to look for in a replacement
- Who posts. Decide whether you want a tool to post for you or a person to approve each reply, and choose on that.
- A score with a reason. You should be able to see why a post ranked high.
- Sources you use. If your buyers are in two places, extra sources mostly add noise.
- Scan frequency. Ask how often each source is checked rather than whether it's "real-time".
- Account safety. Public replies that read as promotional can get removed from subreddits or get the account banned, whoever wrote them.
Where HearBuyers fits, and where it doesn't
HearBuyers fits if you want a human in the loop. Setup works much like ForumScout's: you paste your company website, and HearBuyers infers your product summary, buyer roles, the problems those buyers describe, search phrases, competitors and subreddits. You fix whatever it got wrong. It reads public X posts and replies and Reddit posts and comments, starting with the last seven days.
Every match at or above your threshold (70 by default) gets a drafted public reply, plus a DM draft on X. A person edits, approves, copies and posts it. Nothing goes out on its own. Alerts arrive in Slack, in a daily email digest, and in a team inbox with stages.
It's the wrong pick if you want automatic posting, brand and sentiment reports, or sources beyond X and Reddit. HearBuyers is free for 14 days with no card, then from $19 a month.
The honest case for staying
If you want auto-posting at a low monthly price and need the wider source list, ForumScout covers that. Staying also makes sense if you rely on its brand and competitive features, which HearBuyers doesn't have.
