Best AI lead generation tools, compared by source and price

updated 18 October 2026 · facts about other products checked 18 October 2026 from their own pages

The best AI lead generation tool depends on where your leads are. If you can name your buyer by job title and company size, a database tool such as Apollo, Clay or Hunter finds them. If you want those leads emailed for you, Instantly and Regie.ai add outreach agents. If your buyers announce a need in public, a conversation tool such as ForumScout, Redreach or HearBuyers finds the posts and drafts a reply. Most teams end up with one tool from each of the first two groups and add one from the third only when buyers talk in public.

This list is ordered by fit for a team that wants leads this month on a small budget: published prices and free plans first, quote-only tools last. Every fact comes from the vendor's own pages, read on 17 or 18 October 2026. Our guide to AI lead generation explains what these tools can and cannot do.

Apollo

Apollo is an all-in-one platform covering contact and account data, sequences, a dialer, enrichment, intent topics and website visitor identification. It suits a founder or small sales team that wants the database and the outreach under one login.

Its free plan is usable, with 900 credits per seat per year and two sequences. Basic is $49 per seat a month billed annually ($65 monthly), Professional is $79 ($99 monthly) and Organization is $119 billed annually with a three-seat minimum.

One fair limit: credits are pooled across the team, granted upfront each cycle, and do not roll over. Checked 17 October 2026. See the Apollo pricing guide.

Clay

Clay builds lead lists by running a lookup through many data providers in turn, which it calls waterfall enrichment. It also has an AI web research agent called Claygent, signals such as job changes and company news, a sequencer and CRM sync. It suits a person who wants to design their own lead workflow.

What sets it apart is the 150+ providers behind one table. Free is $0 with 500 actions and 100 data credits a month. Launch is $185 a month billed monthly ($167 billed annually), and Growth is $495 monthly ($446 annually).

One fair limit: there are two meters, actions and data credits, so you have to estimate usage to know your bill. The Free plan holds up to 200 rows per table. Checked 17 October 2026. See the Clay pricing guide.

Instantly

Instantly combines cold email sending with a B2B lead database. Its pages list a Lead Finder Agent, an AI Sales Agent, an AI Reply Agent, an AI Email Writer, unlimited email accounts with warmup and a built-in CRM. It suits teams that run outbound email in volume.

The lead database holds 450M+ leads with 13 filters, plus waterfall email enrichment. Outreach-only plans start at Growth $47 a month ($37.60 billed yearly) and Hypergrowth $97 ($77.60 yearly). Bundles with credits start at $94 a month. The call to action says "Start For Free", but the pricing page does not state trial length or free-plan limits.

Keep in mind that pricing has four tabs (Bundles, Outreach, Credits, VIP), so compare like for like. Checked 18 October 2026.

Hunter

Hunter finds and verifies professional email addresses. Its tools are Domain Search, Email Finder, Email Verifier, bulk jobs, a database filter with an AI assistant, and cold email campaigns. It suits anyone who already has a list of companies and needs the right address at each.

The credit math is simple: finding an email costs 1 credit and verifying one costs 0.5. Free gives 50 credits a month. Starter is $49 a month billed monthly or $34 billed yearly, Growth is $149 or $104, and Scale is $299 or $209.

The limit: it supplies emails and sends outreach, but it can't tell you who is asking for something right now. No free trial of paid plans is stated. Checked 18 October 2026.

Regie.ai

Regie.ai, branded RegieGO, runs AI agents that source and enrich contacts, then email, dial and queue LinkedIn tasks from your own Gmail or Outlook. It suits a solo seller or a small team that wants one workspace for the whole sequence.

The entry price is low. Free is $0 with 250 one-time credits. Pro is $49 a month billed monthly ($41 annually) for one person. Team is $150 per seat a month ($125 annually) with a two-seat minimum.

One fair limit: credits cover research, drafting, enrichment and dialing, and paid-plan credits do not roll over. Checked 18 October 2026.

Warmly

Warmly describes itself as autonomous revenue agents for B2B go-to-market. It identifies website visitors at the person level, adds an AI chat and lists signals such as job changes, funding and social media monitoring. It suits a company with enough site traffic to act on.

Its signal list combines site activity with outside intent sources. Web-Deanonymization starts at $10,000 a year or $4,875 a quarter. Inbound Chat starts at $20,000 a year, and AI Inbound Autopilot at $30,000. Every plan says "Talk To Sales".

The limit: the entry price is a year-long commitment, and the tool needs traffic to work from. Checked 17 October 2026. See the Warmly pricing guide and Warmly vs RB2B.

ForumScout

ForumScout finds people who have asked for what you offer. Its home page lists Reddit, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, Bluesky, Hacker News, Facebook, forums and news. You paste your website, it reads your product and competitors, scans every few hours and scores each lead with an explanation. It suits a team that wants one tool across many platforms.

Breadth is the draw. Starter is $19 a month for 10 keywords, Pro $49 for 20 keywords and Ultra $129 for 30, with 7 days free and no card. It also lists auto-replies, so read its page to see which plan includes them and how posting works.

One fair limit: its pricing sits on the home page, because the pricing URL returned a 404 on 17 October 2026. Check the live page before you rely on a figure. See ForumScout alternatives.

Redreach

Redreach is Reddit only. You enter your website and your top three competitors, with no keywords needed. It finds Reddit posts that rank high on Google, filters them with an AI relevance score and suggests replies, and you post from your own account. It suits a team that wants Reddit threads that also bring search traffic.

The focus on threads that rank on Google is what sets it apart. Startup is $19 a month, Growth $39 and Professional $79, with a 48-hour money-back guarantee. Paid plans also list an auto-DM Chrome extension.

The limit is that it covers Reddit only. Checked 17 October 2026. See HearBuyers vs Redreach.

HearBuyers (ours)

HearBuyers reads public posts on X and Reddit. You paste your company website and it infers your buyers, their problems in their own words, search phrases, competitors and subreddits, all of which you can edit. Each post gets a buying-intent score from 0 to 100, with the exact sentence highlighted and a one-line reason. Matches above your threshold (70 by default) get a drafted reply, which a person edits, approves and posts. Nothing posts or sends on its own.

It suits founders and small sales teams whose buyers ask for recommendations in public. It does not hold a contact database, so pair it with Apollo or Hunter if you need emails.

It is free for 14 days with no card, then from $19 a month. One limit to know: Reddit's public data access changes between 31 October 2026 and March 2027, which may affect coverage. See how it works and Reddit lead generation.

How to choose

  1. Decide where your buyers are visible. If they're named by title and company size, you want a database. If they ask in public, you want a conversation tool.
  2. Count the meters. Seats, credits, actions, keywords and replies are different units, so write down your volume first.
  3. Check what happens after the lead. Some tools stop at a name and some send for you. Decide how much a human should read before anything goes out.
  4. Start where a price is published. A free plan lets you test data quality on 50 leads you already know.
