Similar subreddits finder

updated 17 October 2026

Enter a subreddit you already know and the finder returns related communities with member counts, best match first, plus a note on what each one is about. It searches each community's own title, so r/sales brings up sales communities rather than shopping deals.

Why look past the biggest subreddit

The biggest community on a topic tends to be the noisiest and the strictest about self-promotion. Smaller ones, in the 5,000 to 50,000 member range, are often where people ask specific questions. There, a helpful reply from someone who sells gets seen and gets answered.

How to pick which ones to watch

  1. Run the finder on the community your buyers use most.
  2. Open the three or four that look closest to your buyer. Ignore how close they look to your product.
  3. Check each one's rules with the rules lookup.
  4. Check activity with subreddit stats. A community with only a few posts a week can still be worth it if the people posting are buyers.

Limits

Results come from Reddit's community search, which relies on names and descriptions. Two communities can share an audience without using the same words, so run the finder from more than one starting point. Adult communities are left out.

Older subreddit directories such as RedditList haven't been updated in years, so their member counts are stale.
