Reddit keyword research

updated 17 October 2026

Describe what you sell in a few words and the tool returns 10 to 15 phrases buyers would type in a Reddit post when they need it, written their way, plus communities worth checking. Each phrase opens a Reddit search sorted by newest, so you can see right away whether people really say it.

Why Reddit keywords differ from Google keywords

On Google people type "bookkeeping services near me". On Reddit they write "our bookkeeper quit and Shopify payouts are a mess, who do you use?" Reddit keywords are requests, problems and switching language rather than product categories, and the phrases this tool suggests mix all three.

How to test a phrase

  1. Click search Reddit next to it.
  2. Scan the newest results. If most are people asking for help, keep it.
  3. If most are vendors or job posts, make it more specific or drop it.
  4. Paste the keepers into the Reddit search builder with a subreddit, or into Reddit keyword alerts.

Limits

The phrases come from a model, not measured search volume, because Reddit doesn't publish search data. Test them against real posts every time. Suggested communities can be wrong or private, so check each one.
