Awario alternative: when you want buyers, not a topic feed

facts about Awario checked on 17 October 2026 from its own pages

Awario is a social listening tool. It tracks topics such as your brand, competitors and industry terms across social media, news, blogs, forums and the wider web. If you want an Awario alternative because you'd rather see a short list of people asking for what you sell, HearBuyers does that narrower job on X and Reddit. It scores each post from 0 to 100 for buying intent and drafts a reply that a person approves.

This page covers what Awario does as of 17 October 2026, who it suits better, and how to move over. Facts about Awario come from its home and pricing pages.

What Awario does

In Awario you create a topic: a keyword or a group of keywords, with as many keywords per topic as you like, in any language. They can be plain text, handles, hashtags or URLs. Awario then collects matching mentions. Its home page lists X, Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, YouTube, Vimeo, blogs, forums, news and the web, and says it crawls over 13 billion web pages a day on top of platform data.

The home page names five uses: brand monitoring, market research, social customer care, finding sales opportunities on social networks, and influencer outreach. Listed features include Boolean search, sentiment analysis, location-based monitoring, reports, a topic cloud and a Slack integration. CSV export and white-label PDF reports are listed too, and the FAQ says export comes with Pro and Enterprise.

Who Awario suits better

Pick Awario if you need topic monitoring across a wide set of sources at a low starting price. A small brand, consultant or agency can track a brand, a few competitors and an industry term for under $50 a month. It also makes sense if your buyers or your reputation live partly on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, blogs or news, because HearBuyers reads only X and Reddit.

Its home and pricing pages list no buying-intent score and no reply drafting. Finding leads in Awario means reading the mentions and judging them yourself.

What to look for in a replacement

  • A clear job. Monitoring everything about a topic is a different task from finding buyers. A tool that tries to do both usually hands you the first.
  • Noise control. Broad topics produce volume. Ask how the tool decides which posts matter.
  • A number you can set a bar on. A 0 to 100 score lets you skip most results without reading them.
  • Evidence in the list. You should see the sentence that shows the need without opening the post.
  • Replies under human control. If the tool drafts replies, someone should approve them before they go out.

Where HearBuyers fits, and where it doesn't

HearBuyers fits if you have Awario mainly for the sales-opportunities use case. Instead of building topics, you paste your company website. HearBuyers infers your product summary, buyer roles, the problems buyers describe in their own words, search phrases, competitors and subreddits, and you edit the result. It reads public X posts and replies and Reddit posts and comments, starting with the last seven days.

Each post gets a score, the sentence that shows the need, and a one-line reason. Matches at or above your threshold (70 by default) get a drafted public reply and, on X, a DM draft. A person approves and posts each one. Alerts go to Slack, a daily email digest, and a team inbox with stages.

It's the wrong tool if you need brand reports, sentiment tracking, location monitoring or sources beyond X and Reddit. HearBuyers is free for 14 days with no card, then from $19 a month.

The honest case for staying

If you use Awario for brand and market monitoring, its low entry price and wide source list are hard to match, and HearBuyers won't replace them. Teams that want both usually keep Awario for monitoring and add HearBuyers to find buyers.

Moving your topics over

  1. Open the Awario topics you built to find leads, not the ones that track your brand.
  2. Sign up for HearBuyers and paste your company website.
  3. Compare its suggested search phrases with your topic keywords and add any it missed.
  4. Add your competitors and your buyers' subreddits.
  5. Set your threshold and connect Slack.
