TweetDeck alternative: what X Pro costs and what to use for buyers

facts about TweetDeck (X Pro) checked on 17 October 2026 from its own pages

TweetDeck is now called X Pro, and X lists it as a Premium+ feature. People looking for a TweetDeck alternative usually want one of two things: a multi-column view of X to read and post from, or a way to find people on X who are asking for what you sell. X Pro does the first. HearBuyers does the second, on X and Reddit. It scores each post from 0 to 100 for buying intent and drafts a reply for a person to approve.

This page covers what X Pro is and what it costs as of 17 October 2026, who it suits better, and when something else makes sense. Facts come from X's help pages.

What happened to TweetDeck

X's help page calls it "X Pro (formerly known as TweetDeck)". X says it launched a new version of X Pro globally with a full post composer, advanced search features, new column types, and Decks (groups of columns saved as workspaces). You get one chance to copy your search, list and profile columns into the new version. Changes made in one version don't carry over to the other.

X's Premium page lists X Pro under "Only for Premium+ Tier": multiple configurable timelines at once that can refresh in real time, advanced search, and the ability to add contributors and admins to your account.

What X Pro costs

X Premium has three tiers. These were the US web prices on its help page on 17 October 2026:

  • Basic: $3 a month or $32 a year.
  • Premium: $8 a month or $84 a year.
  • Premium+: $40 a month or $395 a year.

X Pro needs Premium+. Local prices vary by country, and tax and payment fees may apply. Premium Business and Premium Organizations exist for businesses, but that page doesn't price them.

Who X Pro suits better

X Pro is the better choice if you live on X all day and want a control panel: a column for your home timeline, one for mentions, one for each saved search and one for each list. That layout suits social media managers, community managers, journalists and anyone who posts a lot from one or more accounts. You can also add contributors to your account.

It reads and posts to X. It doesn't score posts, so you judge everything you find by eye.

What to look for in a replacement

  • Your reason for using TweetDeck. If you read and post, you want a client. If you're finding buyers, you want a monitor.
  • Whether you want to watch a screen. Columns need someone looking at them. Alerts and a daily digest don't.
  • A judgment per post. A saved search returns everything that matches. A score, with the sentence behind it, cuts the pile down.
  • Coverage outside X. If your buyers also ask on Reddit, a tool that reads both saves you a second workflow.
  • A person approving every reply.

Where HearBuyers fits, and where it doesn't

HearBuyers fits if you used TweetDeck columns to watch searches like "looking for a tool that" or "alternative to" in your market. You paste your company website, and HearBuyers infers your product summary, buyer roles, the problems buyers describe in their own words, search phrases, competitors and subreddits. You correct whatever it got wrong. It reads public X posts and replies and Reddit posts and comments, starting with the last seven days.

Each post gets a score from 0 to 100, the sentence that shows the need, and a one-line reason. Matches at or above your threshold (70 by default) get a drafted public reply and, on X, a DM draft. A person edits, approves, copies and posts it. Alerts go to Slack, a daily email digest and a team inbox with stages.

It doesn't fit if you need a composer, scheduling, multiple timelines, lists or posting from several accounts. HearBuyers doesn't post for you. It's free for 14 days with no card, then from $19 a month.

The honest case for staying

If you already pay for Premium+, you have X Pro, and the two tools do different jobs. Many people keep X Pro for reading and posting and use HearBuyers to find the posts worth replying to.
