Subredditstats alternatives: live subreddit numbers and who is asking in them

facts about Subreddit Stats checked on 1 November 2026 from its own pages

Subreddit Stats (subredditstats.com) shows rankings, growth graphs, related communities and keyword trends for subreddits. People looking for subredditstats alternatives are usually put off by the dates. The site was online when we checked on 1 November 2026, but the data its pages load was last updated in December 2023, and the site's own notice says its numbers are likely out of date since Reddit changed its data access. For current numbers, use a live source. If your job is finding people in those subreddits who are asking for what you sell, HearBuyers reads Reddit and X, scores each post from 0 to 100 for buying intent and drafts a reply that a person approves.

This page covers what Subreddit Stats offers, what we saw on the date above, and what to use for each job.

In a quiet library, a researcher stands beside a wall of beehive-like cubbies; some old honeycomb cells are sealed with dust while fresh cells buzz with tiny figures raising their hands, and the researcher uses a magnifying glass to trace the active clusters.

What Subreddit Stats does

The site's title reads "Subreddit Stats - statistics for every subreddit". It has ranking lists, a page per subreddit with graphs, network maps of related subreddits, user and commenter overlaps between two subreddits, and keyword frequency over time in Reddit comments. It's free and needs no account.

What we saw on 1 November 2026

  • A notice on every page says the data is likely out of date or inaccurate since Reddit's data access changes, and that keeping it current would cost the owner a couple of thousand dollars a month.
  • The same notice asks you not to rely on the numbers for anything important.
  • The data behind the subreddit pages was last checked on 17 December 2023, and the day, week, month and year growth figures all read 0.

So the graphs stop in late 2023, and the related-subreddit maps and overlaps date from the same period.

Who Subreddit Stats suits better

It still works for history: how a community grew up to 2023, or which communities shared commenters then. It can't tell you what a subreddit is like now.

What to look for in a replacement

  • A date on every number. Subscriber counts and activity change quickly, so the source should say when it checked.
  • Rules, not just size. Read a subreddit's rules before you post. A big community that bans self-promotion is worse for outreach than a small one that allows it.
  • Related communities. One seed subreddit should lead you to its real neighbours, not to anything that shares a word in its name.
  • Where people ask for what you sell. Size and growth say nothing about how many buying conversations happen in a community.

Free tools on this site

HearBuyers has free tools for the research side of this job:

Our communities index profiles subreddits by what their members ask for, and RedditList alternatives covers another directory whose data stopped years ago.

Where HearBuyers fits, and where it doesn't

HearBuyers isn't a statistics site. You use it once you know your market and want to find the people inside those subreddits who are asking for what you sell. You paste your company website, and HearBuyers infers your product summary, buyer roles, the problems buyers describe, search phrases, competitors and subreddits. You fix anything it got wrong. Then it reads public Reddit posts and comments and public X posts and replies, starting with the last seven days.

Each post gets a score from 0 to 100, the sentence that shows the need, and a one-line reason. Matches at or above your threshold (70 by default) get a drafted public reply, plus a DM draft on X. A person edits, approves, copies and posts it. Alerts go to Slack, a daily email digest and a team inbox with stages.

If you want growth graphs or keyword trends across all of Reddit, it's the wrong tool. HearBuyers is free for 14 days with no card, then from $19 a month.

The honest case for staying

If you want to see how a community grew up to the end of 2023, Subreddit Stats is free and still loads. Read its numbers as history.
