Reddinbox alternative: research on one side, buyers on the other

facts about Reddinbox checked on 17 October 2026 from its own pages

Reddinbox is an AI research agent for audience research. You ask a question and it searches Reddit, X, Bluesky, Hacker News and Facebook, then returns the pain points, questions and vocabulary it found, grouped by theme. If you want a Reddinbox alternative because you need a list of individual people asking for what you sell, each with a reply ready to edit, HearBuyers does that narrower job on X and Reddit. It scores each post from 0 to 100 for buying intent, and a person approves every reply.

This page covers what Reddinbox does as of 17 October 2026, who it suits better, and how to move over. Facts come from Reddinbox's home and pricing pages.

In a split study, a researcher examines specimens through a magnifying glass on one table while a merchant across the room weighs a basket of fresh fruit.

What Reddinbox does

Reddinbox calls itself a Reddit and social media audience research tool. Its home page describes an AI research agent that searches Reddit, X, Bluesky, Hacker News and Facebook, filters out spam and AI-written posts, and surfaces pain points, buying signals and sentiment with links to every source. Quora is listed as coming soon.

You ask a research question and the agent scans. It drops bots and AI posts, and you get structured insights grouped by theme, such as top pains, questions, trending topics and the words people use. It also produces Market Briefs and lists community monitoring for posts and comments. The page says it's for people with a job, customers and decisions, not for exploring ideas.

There are free tools too: a thread downloader, a subreddit stats page, a shadowban checker, a thread summarizer, a subreddit finder, a pain point tool and an FAQ generator. It also has an MCP server.

Plans on 17 October 2026, billed monthly (yearly billing gives two months free):

  • Starter, $39 a month: about 100 conversations a month with the agent and 3 Market Briefs.
  • Pro, $99 a month: about 266 conversations a month and 5 Market Briefs.

There is a free trial with no card, but no permanent free tier for the agent.

Who Reddinbox suits better

Reddinbox is the better choice for research: positioning, messaging, content ideas, product decisions and learning how a market talks. Marketers, founders and product teams who want a briefing on what an audience cares about will get more from it than from a lead list. It also covers Facebook, Bluesky and Hacker News, which HearBuyers does not.

Its pages list no per-post buying-intent score and no reply drafting. It reports themes, not a ranked list of individual prospects.

What to look for in a replacement

  • Research or leads. A theme report tells you what to say. A lead list tells you whom to say it to. Work out which one you're missing.
  • Individual posts. To reply, you need the post and the person, and a summary won't give you either.
  • The sentence behind the score. When the evidence sits in the list, you can judge a match in seconds.
  • Schedule and freshness. Ask how often it checks, and be wary of tools that promise every post.
  • A person approving replies.

Where HearBuyers fits, and where it doesn't

HearBuyers fits when the work after the research is replying to people. You paste your company website, and HearBuyers infers your product summary, buyer roles, the problems those buyers describe, search phrases, competitors and subreddits. You fix whatever it got wrong. It reads public X posts and replies and Reddit posts and comments, starting with the last seven days and then on a schedule.

Each post gets a score from 0 to 100, with the sentence that shows the need and a one-line reason. Matches at or above your threshold (70 by default) get a drafted public reply, plus a DM draft on X. A person edits, approves, copies and posts it. Alerts go to Slack, a daily email digest and a team inbox with stages.

It doesn't fit if you need research questions answered across a market, Market Briefs or theme reports. HearBuyers is free for 14 days with no card, then from $19 a month.

The honest case for staying

If you use Reddinbox to understand your audience, keep it. HearBuyers doesn't produce research reports, and the two tools answer different questions. Many teams do the research first and use a buyer-finding tool after.
