ReplyGuy alternative: when you want to post the reply yourself

facts about ReplyGuy checked on 17 October 2026 from its own pages

If you're looking for a ReplyGuy alternative, the choice usually turns on who posts the reply. ReplyGuy finds conversations where your product could come up and generates replies that mention it. On Reddit, according to its FAQ, those replies go out from purchased accounts it provides to you. HearBuyers drafts the reply too, but a person on your team always approves it and posts it from their own account.

Below is what ReplyGuy offers as of 17 October 2026, who it suits, and how to move over if you want every reply to come from you.

What ReplyGuy does

ReplyGuy is organized around projects and keywords. You create a project and add keywords (its AI suggests some), and it tracks mentions of them. Its AI then picks recent, relevant posts where your product deserves a mention and writes a reply meant to help the original poster, bringing up your product where it fits. The home page also has a free audit: paste your website and you get results in about 15 seconds without an account.

Its FAQ names two networks. On Reddit, replies go out from "purchased accounts" that it emails you a few days after you subscribe. On X, it finds places to reply and suggests what to say, and you edit and post the reply yourself.

Plans on its pricing page on 17 October 2026, billed monthly:

  • Small, $10 a month: 5 keywords, 20 replies a month, one project, auto-replies.
  • Analyst, $39 a month: 20 keywords, five projects, monitoring and sentiment, and no auto-posting.
  • Pro, $49 a month: 5 keywords, 100 replies a month, one project.
  • Business, $99 a month: 25 keywords, 300 replies a month, five projects.
  • Enterprise, $199 a month: 100 keywords, 1,000 replies a month, unlimited projects.

Yearly plans are listed as well, starting at $59 a year for Small. The FAQ mentions a 3-day trial and refunds within 7 days if you haven't used the product.

Who ReplyGuy suits better

ReplyGuy suits you if you want volume and don't mind replies going out automatically on Reddit from accounts you didn't build. At $10 a month it's also one of the cheapest ways to try reply drafting. If you only want monitoring, the Analyst plan covers 20 keywords across five projects and doesn't post anything.

What to look for in a replacement

  • Who owns the account that posts. A reply from an account with your own history reads differently from one posted by an account you were handed. If an account gets removed, what it posted can disappear with it.
  • A clear approval step. Drafting saves time, but nothing should go out until someone has read it.
  • A reason for every match. You should be able to see why a post was picked: which sentence shows the need, and how strong it is.
  • Setup from what you sell. Keywords miss buyers who describe the problem without naming your category.
  • More than one channel. A public reply is one option. Sometimes a DM on X works better, or an email when someone lists one publicly.

Where HearBuyers fits, and where it doesn't

HearBuyers fits if you want help finding and drafting but want to do the posting yourself. You paste your company website and it fills in your buyers, the problems they describe, search phrases, competitors and subreddits, all editable. It reads public posts on X and Reddit, starting with the last seven days, and scores each one from 0 to 100 for buying intent. You see the exact sentence that shows the need, plus a one-line reason.

Every match at or above your threshold (70 by default) gets a drafted public reply. X matches also get a draft DM, and an email draft appears only when the person has a public email. Someone on your team then edits, approves, copies and posts it. Matches arrive in Slack, in a daily email digest and in a team inbox, where each one moves through stages: new, reviewing, approved, replied, won, not a fit or dismissed.

It isn't a fit if you want replies posted for you, or a self-serve plan with a fixed published price. HearBuyers is free for 14 days with no card, then from $19 a month.

The honest case for staying

If automatic replies are what you're paying for and you're happy with how they get posted, HearBuyers won't replace that, because it never posts on its own. Stay if volume matters more to you than control, or if you mostly use ReplyGuy on X, where you already post the replies yourself.

Moving your keywords and communities over

  1. Note the keywords and projects you set up in ReplyGuy.
  2. Sign up for HearBuyers and paste your company website.
  3. Compare the search phrases it suggests with your old keywords and add any that are missing.
  4. Add the subreddits and competitors you care about.
  5. Decide who on your team approves replies, and send alerts to their Slack channel.

Start with a week of drafts and post only the ones you'd be glad to put your name to. Read how HearBuyers works, see our notes on Reddit lead generation, or check the other options on the alternatives page.
