Subreddit Signals alternative: the same human-first loop, on X and Reddit
facts about Subreddit Signals checked on 17 October 2026 from its own pages
Subreddit Signals and HearBuyers take the same approach: find people who need what you sell, help you write a good reply, and leave the posting to you. They differ mainly in where they listen and how you set them up. Subreddit Signals watches only Reddit, and only the subreddits you pick. HearBuyers reads X as well as Reddit and starts from your website. If you're looking for a Subreddit Signals alternative, that difference is what to weigh.

What Subreddit Signals does
Subreddit Signals calls itself Reddit customer discovery for founders. You describe your product, review the subreddits it suggests, and choose which communities to monitor. It scores candidate posts in those communities for fit, buyer intent, relevance, authenticity and engagement, and puts the strongest in a feed you can filter. Its intent stages go from problem-aware up to the rarer purchase-ready.
When you want to reply, its Comment Builder and Voice Profiles write a draft on demand. You edit it and post from your own Reddit account. It says plainly that it does not auto-post replies. It's just as plain about scope: it monitors only the communities you select, not all of Reddit. Its page also lists who it isn't for: people doing open-ended Reddit research, anyone wanting mass outreach or automatic posting, and products whose buyers don't talk on Reddit.
Plans on 17 October 2026:
- Starter, $29 a month ($24 a month billed yearly): one brand, up to 10 subreddits, 15 weekly lead tokens, Comment Builder and the engagement queue.
- Pro, $59 a month ($49.17 a month billed yearly): up to five brands, 25 subreddits, 25 weekly tokens, plus Pain Points Radar, competitor intelligence, Reddit and AI traffic attribution and campaign automations.
Lead tokens are weekly credits you spend to unlock and act on leads. Both plans begin with a 14-day trial that requires a card. A managed service starts at $2,000 a month.
Who Subreddit Signals suits better
It suits founders whose buyers clearly gather in a handful of known subreddits and who want a calm, contained workflow there. Pro's traffic attribution records visits and conversions by subreddit and by AI-referral source, which HearBuyers doesn't offer. HearBuyers also has nothing like the pain-point trend view. And if you'd rather hand the work to a team, there's the managed service.
What to look for in a replacement
- A second source. Reddit is tightening its rules for outside apps between late 2026 and early 2027. A tool that also reads X keeps working if Reddit access narrows.
- Search beyond your list. Buyers sometimes ask in communities you'd never think to add. Running Reddit search alongside your chosen subreddits catches some of them.
- How limits are counted. Weekly tokens, subreddit caps and per-match billing each change how much you see. Pick whichever fits your volume.
- Clear reasons. You should see why a post scored high, quoted from the post itself.
- Team stages. Once two people are replying, you need to see who handled what.
Where HearBuyers fits, and where it doesn't
HearBuyers fits if some of your buyers ask on X, or if you don't know yet which subreddits matter. You paste your company website, and it infers your product summary, buyer roles, problems in the buyer's words, search phrases, competitors and subreddits. You can edit all of them. It reads public X posts and replies, plus Reddit posts and comments in your chosen subreddits and Reddit search. The first run covers the last seven days.
Each post gets a buying-intent score from 0 to 100, with the exact sentence highlighted and a one-line reason. Matches at or above your threshold (70 by default) get a drafted public reply, a DM draft on X, and an email draft only when a public email exists. A person edits, approves, copies and posts it. Alerts go to Slack, a daily email digest and a team inbox with stages from new to won.
It isn't a fit if you want traffic attribution, pain-point trend reports or a managed service. HearBuyers is free for 14 days with no card, then from $19 a month.
The honest case for staying
If your buyers live in ten subreddits you already know and you're happy with the replies you post, Subreddit Signals does that job well at a published price. Switching pays off only if X matters in your market or your subreddit list keeps missing people.
