RedShip alternative: when your buyers ask on X too
facts about RedShip checked on 17 October 2026 from its own pages
RedShip is a Reddit tool that reads your website, turns what you sell into keywords, and checks Reddit every morning for threads where people ask for it. Each thread gets a score from 0 to 100, and you write and post the reply yourself. People who look for a RedShip alternative usually want coverage beyond Reddit or help writing the reply. HearBuyers adds X and drafts a reply for each strong match, which a person still approves and posts.
All RedShip facts below come from its home, pricing and FAQ pages, checked on 17 October 2026.

What RedShip does
You add your website, and RedShip works out what you sell and which keywords are worth watching. Every morning it checks Reddit and puts the threads worth your time in your inbox, scored from 0 to 100. In settings you can watch all of Reddit or a defined set of subreddits. It also watches your competitors and flags switching intent when people ask for alternatives.
Two features look past new posts. A weekly SEO scan finds older Reddit threads already on Google's first page for your keywords and shows the search volume for each. A weekly AI citation check runs your buyer questions through ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini, tracks your share of voice against competitors, and lists the Reddit threads those answers cite.
RedShip is clear about replies. Its FAQ says it deliberately doesn't post or send DMs for you, so you do the writing and the posting.
Plans on 17 October 2026, billed monthly (quarterly saves 20%, yearly 40%):
- Founder, $29 a month: one product, 10 keywords, 3 competitors, one seat, email and Slack.
- Company, $49 a month: three products, 30 keywords, 10 competitors, three seats, email, Slack and webhook.
There's no free trial, but there's a 7-day pass for $12.
Who RedShip suits better
RedShip suits founders whose buyers are on Reddit and who also want Reddit to bring in search traffic. HearBuyers has neither the Google-ranking thread scan nor the AI citation tracking. RedShip is also a good fit if you'd rather write every reply from scratch and want a low fixed monthly price.
What to look for in a replacement
- A second source. If some of your buyers ask on X, a Reddit-only tool misses them. A second source also helps while Reddit tightens its rules for outside apps.
- Evidence with the score. A number tells you where to look first. The sentence that shows the need tells you whether to reply.
- Draft help, with control. Editing a draft saves time, but it should never go out without you.
- More than a public reply. Sometimes a DM, or an email when the person lists one, works better.
- A team view. If two people reply, you need stages to see who handled what.
Where HearBuyers fits, and where it doesn't
HearBuyers fits if your buyers ask on X as well as Reddit, or if you want a draft ready for every strong match. Like RedShip, it starts from your website. It infers your product summary, buyer roles, problems in the buyer's words, search phrases, competitors and subreddits, and you can edit all of them. It reads public X posts and replies and Reddit posts and comments, starting with the last seven days and then on a schedule.
Each post gets a 0 to 100 buying-intent score, with the exact sentence highlighted and a one-line reason. Matches at or above your threshold (70 by default) get a drafted public reply. On X they also get a DM draft, and they get an email draft only when a public email exists. A person edits, approves, copies and posts it. Nothing posts or sends on its own. Matches arrive in Slack, in a daily email digest and in a team inbox with stages from new to won.
It doesn't fit if you want the Google-ranking thread scan, AI citation tracking or a fixed published price. HearBuyers is free for 14 days with no card, then starts at $19 a month.
The honest case for staying
If Reddit is your only channel and you like writing replies yourself, RedShip covers the whole loop at a low price and adds search and AI visibility features. Stay with it unless you're missing buyers on X or want drafts to speed you up.
