Pulse for Reddit alternative: finding buyers on X and Reddit

facts about Pulse for Reddit checked on 17 October 2026 from its own pages

Pulse (usepulse.ai, sometimes searched as Pulse for Reddit) finds Reddit threads where people ask for what you sell, scores each lead, and writes a reply for you to send. HearBuyers does much the same, so the choice comes down to sources and pricing. Pulse is built around Reddit, with plans from $29 a month. HearBuyers is free for 14 days with no card, then from $19 a month.

This page covers what Pulse does as of 17 October 2026, who it suits better, and how to move over. Facts about Pulse come from its home and pricing pages.

What Pulse does

Pulse describes itself as a Reddit growth engine that began as a Reddit alert tool and grew into a full visibility engine. Its home page shows four steps:

  1. Identify: you give it keywords, subreddits and your ideal customer.
  2. Score: each lead is scored on intent, fit and timing. The page uses 94 as an example.
  3. Draft: it writes a reply for every lead, with controls for tone, length and how promotional the reply is.
  4. Fine-tune: thumbs up or down teaches it your taste.

Its FAQ says it drafts a spam-safe reply and alerts you so you can jump in, tracks karma and checks subreddit rules. It also lists competitor intelligence, ranks threads by their value in Google and AI answers, and has an AI visibility feature that checks ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Grok. Alerts go out by email, Slack and Microsoft Teams.

Plans on 17 October 2026, from its FAQ:

  • Starter, $29 a month ($19 a month billed yearly, $232 a year): about 150 qualified leads a month, 3,000 scored, 40 keywords, 5 competitors, 1 seat.
  • Growth, $99 a month ($66 a month billed yearly, $792 a year): about 1,500 qualified leads, 30,000 scored, 3 projects, 80 keywords, 3 seats.
  • Enterprise: done for you. Its Reddit team runs engagement under your brand. Contact sales.

Extra seats are $15 a month. There's a free preview with no card and a 3-day money-back guarantee.

Who Pulse suits better

Pick Pulse if Reddit is your main channel and you want that one source covered in depth: thread ranking for Google and AI answers, an AI visibility check, and a done-for-you option on Enterprise. It also publishes an entry price of $29 a month.

What to look for in a replacement

  • Sources. If your buyers also ask on X, a Reddit-only tool never sees them.
  • How the score is explained. Ask whether you can see the sentence that earned the score.
  • The reply step. Find out how a draft gets checked before it goes out, and who presses post.
  • How much exposure to Reddit's changes you accept. Reddit's public data access is changing between late 2026 and March 2027, and a tool built only on Reddit depends on how that settles.
  • How you're billed. Lead allowances, scored-post allowances, seats and projects each change what a plan costs in practice.

Where HearBuyers fits, and where it doesn't

HearBuyers fits if you want X and Reddit in one list. You paste your company website and it infers your product summary, buyer roles, the problems those buyers describe, search phrases, competitors and subreddits. You correct whatever it got wrong. It reads public X posts and replies, plus Reddit posts and comments from the subreddits you choose and from Reddit search, starting with the last seven days.

Every post gets a score from 0 to 100, with the sentence that shows the need highlighted and a one-line reason. Matches at or above your threshold (70 by default) get a drafted public reply. On X you also get a DM draft, and you get an email draft only when a public email exists. A person edits, approves, copies and posts it. Nothing goes out on its own. Alerts arrive in Slack, a daily email digest and a team inbox with stages.

It's the wrong fit if you need thread ranking for Google and AI answers, an AI visibility check, karma tracking or a done-for-you service. HearBuyers is free for 14 days with no card, then from $19 a month.

The honest case for staying

If you only work Reddit and want the Google and AI-visibility angle, Pulse covers that and HearBuyers doesn't. Teams in that position have little reason to switch.

Moving your setup over

  1. Write down your Pulse keywords, subreddits and competitors.
  2. Sign up for HearBuyers and paste your company website.
  3. Compare its suggested search phrases with your keywords and add any that are missing.
  4. Add your subreddits and competitors.
  5. Set your threshold and connect Slack.
