Stated intent for B2B sales teams
updated 17 October 2026
Most intent data tells a sales team that a company is reading about a topic. HearBuyers gives you a different signal: a named person, in public, describing the problem you solve or asking for an alternative to a competitor. It reads Reddit and X, scores each post from 0 to 100 for buying intent, and puts the strong ones in front of your reps with a reply already drafted.

How it sits next to what you already use
| Signal | Tells you | Who acts |
|---|---|---|
| Account-level intent | A company is researching a topic | SDRs prioritise accounts |
| Website visitors | Someone from a company was on your site | SDRs follow up |
| Stated intent (HearBuyers) | A person wrote that they need this, today | A rep replies in the thread |
How reps use it
- Matches arrive in a Slack channel you pick, with the sentence that matched and its score.
- A rep opens the draft, edits and approves it, then posts it from their own account.
- Each conversation moves through stages from new to replied to won, so two reps don't answer the same post.
What it doesn't do
It doesn't enrich contacts, build lists or send sequences, and it never posts or messages anyone on its own. CRM logging (HubSpot, Salesforce) is planned but not built yet. See coverage for what's live.
Reps often start in communities their buyers already use, such as r/sales and r/salesforce. Each profile lists that community's rules on vendors.
Next step
Sign up with your company website and look at a week of matches. If you run a larger team, the founder can walk you through it.
Sample match
"We tried three intent data vendors and I still can't tell who is actually shopping. Is there anything that shows the real post?" (sample)
Scored 88: a named frustration with account-level data, plus a direct ask. A rep opens the draft, adjusts it to their own voice, and replies in the thread.
Frequently asked questions
Does it replace our intent data?
No. Account-level intent tells you which companies are researching. HearBuyers finds named people who said they need something. Use both.
Can we send matches to our CRM?
Logging to HubSpot and Salesforce is planned but not built yet. For now, matches go to Slack, a daily email and the team inbox.
How do we stay compliant?
HearBuyers reads public posts only and never messages anyone. Reps reply publicly from their own accounts and follow each community's rules. Anyone can ask to be excluded, and we honour that within 7 days.
