Hootsuite pricing: what Standard, Professional and Advanced cost

updated 18 October 2026 · facts about other products checked 17 October 2026 from their own pages

Hootsuite's paid plans are billed annually: Standard costs $99 per user a month, Professional $199 and Advanced up to $399. Enterprise is priced on request and needs a demo. You can try it free for 14 days without a credit card. The plans are built around scheduling, an inbox and monitoring for brand social accounts.

The prices come from Hootsuite's plans page, checked on 17 October 2026. That page shows prices in the visitor's local currency, so the dollar figures here are taken from its FAQ and structured data, which are in USD.

Trial limits

The free trial lasts 14 days and doesn't ask for a card. Trial accounts can post 10 to 20 times a day per organization, depending on the plan, and can't bulk schedule.

What drives the bill up

The page names what changes the price: the number of seats (pricing is per user), the plan tier, and whether you need Enterprise features such as advanced listening and SSO, which move you to a custom quote. Hootsuite's other products, including Perch for publishing, Nest for messaging and Lumen for social listening, are listed separately. Hootsuite and Talkwalker are being merged, and Talkwalker now appears as "Lumen by Talkwalker".

How to estimate your cost

  1. Count the people who will log in. Each one is a seat.
  2. Count your social accounts. More than 10 means Professional or above.
  3. Decide whether you need approvals and message routing. Those come with Advanced.
  4. Multiply seats by the plan price, then by 12 for annual billing.

For example, four people on Professional would cost 4 x $199 = $796 a month, billed annually.

Alternatives and other categories

Hootsuite is a suite for publishing and managing social accounts. For a similar bundle, read Sprout Social pricing. If listening is your main need, Talkwalker pricing is by quote, and the Brand24 alternative page covers a monitoring tool that publishes its prices. There are more options in the best social media monitoring tools list.

Next step: start the 14-day trial with the number of seats you actually plan to buy, and check that the plan you need covers all your accounts.
