r/realtors for B2B sellers

200,121 members · rules and posts checked 17 October 2026

r/realtors is a community for news and discussion about realtors, with about 200,121 members. Sellers can't use it to promote products or services, because promotion, recruiting, referrals, lead solicitation and vendor discussions are all banned.

Recent requests include help choosing a realtor to sell a family home, picking a brokerage, finding a low-cost brokerage, renting a home for a short stay, and understanding what support brokerages give newer agents. People here talk about real estate practice and decisions agents face, not about buying business tools or services.

On a neighborhood street, an agent studies a detailed map with residents around a park bench while keeping a bundle of house-shaped balloons tied shut.

Self-promotion: not allowed

The rules prohibit promotion of businesses, products, services, brokerages, brands, recruiting, referrals, surveys, and product feedback requests. Sellers should not pitch, solicit leads, move conversations to private messages, or promote themselves in posts, comments, or DMs.

What a good reply looks like here

A good reply here gives neutral, practical guidance that helps the person decide, without promoting a company, service or product.

Sample reply: If you have already narrowed the list to three agents, compare them on a few things: how they plan to market the home, their experience with similar properties, their communication style, and how clearly they explain the selling process. Ask each one for recent examples of problems they handled during a sale and what they would do for your property specifically. The agent who communicates clearly and has a thought-out strategy is often a better pick than one who wins on a single factor.

When to skip r/realtors

This community is usually not worth the time for CRM vendors, real estate software companies, lead generation services, or anyone hoping to promote a product or service. Promotion and vendor discussions are prohibited, so it works better for market research and watching what agents need than for outreach.
