827,976 members · rules and posts checked 17 October 2026
r/SaaS has 827,976 members and covers SaaS and the tech business world. Sellers can take part, within limits. Helpful contributions are welcome. Promotion, selling, client solicitation, fundraising and lead generation are not.
Buyer requests here include finding developers for open source software projects, finding compliance audit or certification providers, and choosing payment gateways or merchant services. Most discussion is about the practical side of building and running a SaaS.

Self-promotion: allowed with limits
Product mentions are allowed only occasionally, must be disclosed, and must provide real value rather than acting as an ad. Selling services, soliciting clients, fundraising, lead generation, recruiting, and many promotional-style posts are prohibited, so sellers should participate through helpful discussion rather than pitches.
1Submission Guidelines
Stay respectful, stay on SaaS topics, and avoid self-promotion that does not add value.
2Posting SaaS Relevant Content Only
Only post content that is clearly related to SaaS or the tech business world.
3No Vendor Spam on posts or comments
You may mention your product only occasionally, with disclosure, limits, and useful context.
4No Low-Effort / Low-Quality Content
Posts and comments must be original, detailed, and genuinely useful.
5No selling, soliciting, or fundraising
Do not sell services, solicit clients, fundraise, or generate leads here.
6AMA / Surveys / Polls require approval
AMAs, surveys, polls, and research posts need moderator approval first.
7No obfuscated, shortened or indirect URLs
Use direct, non-tracking, non-affiliate links only.
8No Personal Information (Doxing)
Do not post personal information or identify private individuals.
9Be excellent to eachother
Be respectful and avoid harassment, attacks, or discrimination.
10No "I'll review/audit/feedback/test/roast or create something for you" posts
Do not post offers to review, audit, test, roast, or create things for others.
11No Promotional or Advertising SaaS
Do not promote SaaS products that automate advertising, outreach, lead detection, or content generation for promotion.

What a good reply looks like here
A good reply is practical and detailed, and it answers the question directly. Help the poster weigh their options or next steps instead of steering the conversation toward a sale.
Sample reply: If the goal is to revive an open source desktop photo management application, it may help to share the project's repository, its current maintenance status, the target platforms and a list of priority issues. Contributors are often more willing to get involved when they can quickly see the roadmap, the open tasks and where they can make an impact. You could also document the build process and point out where help is most needed, such as bug fixes, testing or platform-specific work.

When to skip r/SaaS
This community is usually not worth your time if you're after lead generation, fundraising, recruiting or direct client solicitation. Promotion is tightly limited here, so outreach-driven sales tactics don't fit. It works better for sellers who can share useful SaaS knowledge without pitching.
