Apollo vs ZoomInfo: what each costs and who each one suits
updated 18 October 2026 · facts about other products checked 17 October 2026 from their own pages
Apollo publishes its prices and has a free plan. ZoomInfo doesn't publish prices and sells packages by quote. Apollo is easier to start with and easier to cost out. ZoomInfo is built for teams that want a larger sales, marketing and talent suite and don't mind going through a sales process. Both sell contact and company data with intent signals on top.
Everything below comes from each company's own pricing and home pages, checked on 17 October 2026. Plans change, so check the pages before you buy.

Where Apollo is stronger
- Transparent cost. You can work out a bill before talking to anyone.
- A usable free plan and a 14-day trial. Good for a solo seller or a small test.
- All-in-one for small teams. Data, sequences, dialer and meetings in one place.
Where ZoomInfo is stronger
- A wider suite. Sales, Marketing and Talent solutions, plus conversation intelligence, from one vendor.
- Enterprise features at the top tier. Competitor alerts, custom intent signals, advanced reporting, a dedicated customer success manager and onboarding.
- Packaging built around your size. The price depends on your licenses, data depth and add-ons, which suits larger programs.
Pick Apollo if... pick ZoomInfo if...
Pick Apollo if you're a small team or a single seller, want to see the price first and plan to pay by seat. Pick ZoomInfo if you run a larger program, need the intent and workflow features on its higher tiers, and are fine with a quote-based process.
If cost decides it, the Apollo pricing guide and the ZoomInfo pricing guide go through each page in detail.
What comes up on Reddit
When people in r/sales, r/LeadGeneration and r/salesdevelopment compare contact databases, they mostly talk about data freshness, bounce rates and price rather than features, and they rarely agree on a winner. A common piece of advice is to verify any list before you send to it, whichever database it came from. Several threads also describe teams moving away from bigger lists and toward better timing: reaching people when they show a need. That's what buying signals are about.
Where HearBuyers fits
Apollo and ZoomInfo start from a database of contacts and companies. HearBuyers starts from a public post where someone on X or Reddit says they need what you sell. It scores that post from 0 to 100 and drafts a reply for a person to approve. It holds no contact data, so it works next to a prospecting tool instead of replacing one. See how others compare in best sales intelligence tools, or browse Apollo.io alternatives and ZoomInfo alternatives grouped by job.
Next step: pick the tool you can price today, and test HearBuyers alongside it on the same website to see which buyers were already asking in public.
